When I started in this business nearly 11 years ago, I began by photographing weddings. For years weddings were, and continue to be, my primary focus. But somewhere along the way, I started photographing families as well. Now there are many wedding photographers that exclusively shoot weddings and they make a compelling case for why specializing is the way to go. All their points are valid, but I just can’t seem to break away from my families. I love sharing this time with them, witnessing the joyous events in their lives and watching them grow year after year. If the wedding is an amazing film, then the sessions that come after are the sequels, and who can resist a good sequel?
