When you work with a bride and groom over the course of one to two years, you get to know them pretty well. Add to that, experiencing the range of emotions that come with a wedding day right alongside them, and it’s hard not to feel like a close friend, and sometimes, even family. That’s exactly how I felt after photographing Sara and Josh’s wedding. So you can imagine how excited I was to hear from Suzanne, Sara’s sister, just a few weeks later. It’s such an honor to work with their entire family once again and I’m looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces and scenery!

Suzanne and Joe will marry this October, but today I’m sharing a few of my favorites from their Leonardtown engagement session.

“Snips and snails and puppy dogs’ tails. That’s what little boys are made of.”

I couldn’t be happier for this lovely family as they welcome their second child and second boy into the world. I think it’s wonderful that these little boys will grow up as best buddies. Can you imagine the adventures they’ll share, and the stories they’ll have to look back and tell one day?

Enjoy a few of my favorites from this newborn lifestyle session!

One sweet couple, a gorgeous location and the perfect time of day made for a beautiful St. Inigoes engagement session! I met Caitlin and Scott at Mary’s Hope on Church Cove, which is always a favorite location of mine. With water views, a beach, manor house, barns and fields, there’s something for everyone to love. Check back this September to see more of this lovely couple when they become Mr. and Mrs.!

When you visit Scarborough Farm, the owner, Kathy, will greet you with a smile, offer you a tour of the farm and even snip a few blooms for you to take before she hugs you on the way out. Though may arrive as a stranger, you’ll leave as a friend. Kathy is so warm and kind, and truly a bright spot in the world today!

In addition to her lovely personality, she is extraordinarily talented and knowledgeable about flowers and herbs. She specializes in field grown fresh cut flowers and herbs from early spring until the onset of winter. Her year begins with forsythia and willows, followed by daffodils, tulips and bleeding hearts. Lilacs, sweat peas and peonies come next before the summer brings poppies, zinnias and sunflowers, to name a few! Later, the year ends with the arrival of dahlias.

At Scarborough Farm, flowers can be arranged and delivered to you, or if you’re feeling creative, stop by to purchase a bucket to create your own arrangements! To find out more about the farm, weekly subscription flowers or special event arrangements, head over to the Scarborough Farm web site!
