Sara & Josh: A Fall Waterfront Engagement Session

When Sara and I first met, she told me that Josh didn’t smile in pictures. A fact her mom and sister confirmed by showing me the proof in photos on their phones. So I went into their engagement session prepared to use any little trick to pull a few genuine smiles from Josh. But as it turned out, as soon as Josh was focused on Sara, the smiles just flowed!

All these smiles, along with the beautiful palette of autumn colors, and simply how gorgeous Sara is, are a few of the many reasons I love this fall waterfront engagement session at Sara’s family home. We ended the session with a few photos outside of Trinity Episcopal Church, just steps from the altar where these two will marry next May!

Come Watch Our New Promotional Video

For years I’ve wanted to create a video for my business — a way for clients to get to know me and to also explain how I approach photographing both weddings and families. That way, you as a potential client, would have a pretty good idea of whether we’d be a good fit for one another before you send the initial inquiry email. The main reason it took so long to complete this project is that, this girl, much prefers being on the back side of the camera rather than the front! And while that is still my preference, with the amazing help and talent of Paul Kwak of Paul Kwak Productions, I’m so happy to have checked this item off of my to-do list!

Along with Paul, I’d also like to thank Blushing Blooms Floral Design, and my models Jen and Justin and the M Family for making this video so beautiful!

Baby Quinn: Southern Maryland Newborn Photography

The D Family: Southern Maryland Fall Family Photography

I’ve been taking this beautiful family’s photographs for so many years now that I’ve actually lost count of the number of times they’ve been behind my lens!

Over the years, we’ve made some fun memories including the time one of the boys forgot his shoes and another time when we met at the Capitol building but I forgot my cell phone. There were only a couple hundred other people there making it difficult to find them! I am so appreciative that they come back every year and allow me to share in their adventures!

Laura & Kyle: Swan Point Yacht and Country Club Wedding Photography

A few times a year, I have the pleasure of photographing a small wedding ceremony. And I love these intimate events just as much as I love a big party!

Laura and Kyle chose to get married on the water surrounded by a little more than 20 of their closest friends and family. A few weeks later they would celebrate in a slightly bigger way, but on this day the focus was simply on the act of becoming man and wife. I found their wedding celebration to be both elegant and incredibly romantic!
