The soft pastel colors of the day, the peaceful setting, and the sweet couple and family members gathered, made Kaitlin and Jason’s wedding simply beautiful. Often times a wedding can be stressful with all of the little and not so little details to coordinate, but these two appeared so relaxed and truly enjoying the moment of this wonderful day. It was a celebration I have loved reliving by looking at their pictures again and again!

The following talented vendors contributed to the day: Debbie Hamann, caterer, Expressions of St Mary’s Caterer; Greenwell State Park; Amanda Ritchey Bridal and Beauty Formal Wear; Heather Wible, Village Hair Boutique; Melanie Young, harpist, Harp Zephyrs; Kenny’s Flowers; DJ Jimmy Guy, Elitebeatz Rentals & DJ; Kathy York, florist for centerpieces; Catherine Fumarola, make-up; Mik Megary, Pastor; and Anissa Woodford, cake maker.

When my little brother accepted an internship at an equine hospital in Oklahoma a few years ago, I was happy for him, but sad to see him move. Our family has always been close, and Oklahoma was no longer just a short car trip away. Add to that, that I’m terrified of tornadoes having been in one myself, and his position in the middle of tornado country didn’t sit well with me either.

But in time I learned that there was a higher power at work with a plan better than one I could have imagined. While there, CJ met Brittany, who had accepted an internship at the same hospital. Fast forward a little bit and they are now in the midst of wedding plans for next June. I couldn’t be happier for CJ and am so excited to welcome Brittany into our family!

Rain on a wedding day makes me a little nervous. So when the forecast called for showers on Brenda and Dan’s wedding day, I was praying that the overcast skies would hold on to those raindrops at least during the times we needed to be outside. While I worried, Brenda remained perfectly calm. She even asked at one point if it was supposed to rain as if the thought hadn’t crossed her mind and wouldn’t bother her if it did. She was completely focused on the purpose of the day and unconcerned with all of the what ifs. I can’t think of a better way to begin a marriage, focusing on the bigger picture and not letting the smaller, uncontrollable circumstances affect her outlook. Thankfully it didn’t rain, but I’m not sure Brenda would have even noticed if it did! And now for a few of my favorites from their elegant summer wedding.

The following vendors contributed to the day include: Anita’s Cake ShopScarborough Farm Flowers and Olde Breton Inn.
