Trinity and Nick’s wedding was a labor of love. Their families crafted each detail with their own hands to create the day Trinity and Nick had always wanted. Trinity’s dad, who is an amazing carpenter, made the wooden wagon that held their gifts, the sand ceremony box and table, the sweetheart table, tables for the guest book and place cards, and chalkboards. Trinity’s mom potted all of the plant favors and served as their coordinator during the planning process. And Nick’s brother and niece worked together to draw the tree used for the guest book. Talk about a family affair! I think it’s all the more meaningful knowing that these details were created by loved ones. And how luck are Trinity and Nick not only to have found one another, but also to have such a supportive family by their side as they begin this new phase in their lives. I can’t wait to see what is in store for these two!
The vendors that contributed to their day include: Woodlawn, Ridge, Md., Venue and Bar; Bailey’s Catering, catering and tent; Kathy York of Scarborough Farm Flowers, flowers; DeAnna Pinno, cakes; Off the Hook Entertainment, DJ; Joe Orlando of Creative Weddings of Southern Maryland, officiant; Bella Salon in California, MD, hair and makeup; and Matthew Christopher from Angelique Bridal in NY, NY, dress.

Whenever I visit Nanjemoy, I can’t help but notice how peaceful and laid back it is there, not to mention the beautiful scenery. So I was more than happy to visit to photograph Alexis and Joel for their engagement session, and am just as excited to return to the exact same spot this September for their wedding. Here are just a few of my favorites!

A perfect spring day, waterfront view, beautiful details and one sweet couple make for the perfect wedding! My favorite moment of the day was when Ashley’s dad gave her hand to Kevin. I can only imagine the emotions a father must feel as he does this. A few images from this moment as well as some more of my favorites from their day are below!

To be honest, I was a little sad when their wedding day finally arrived. Ashley and Cliff are the kind of people you want to spend time with — genuine, caring people that give hugs and call you sweetheart even after knowing you for just a short time. The kind of people that hold doors open for you, value their friends and family, and love with their whole hearts.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two. But for now, I wish them lots of simple joys and uneventful days! They certainly deserve them!
