Ashley and Kevin’s engagement session was a little cold to say the least! The tiniest of snow flurries fell throughout the evening, but undeterred we enjoyed having the streets of Annapolis mostly to ourselves as everyone else was inside staying warm.

I’m looking forward to Ashley and Kevin’s wedding at Historic St. Mary’s this May, when winter will finally be gone (we hope)!

My Benjamin turned four earlier this month. And apparently with this new age, comes a willingness to have his photo taken. He and Kate have never been this cooperative for photos and although my window of time before they lost interest was about two minutes, it was enough to capture their little personalities before they get any bigger. I hope time slows just a bit before we revisit this park again for next year’s birthday photos.

In the moment, the first days when you bring your newborn home from the hospital may seem like an eternity with countless diaper changes and middle of the night feedings. But these moments are actually fleeting and I believe they should be preserved so that you’re able to share them with your children later in life. So that they may see the love and the warmth present at their beginning. That they may see the mobile that hung above their crib and the way their daddy’s hands looked as he rocked them to sleep. These photographs are the ones they will cherish because you are present in them.

Meet sweet Kensington Grace, just a few weeks old, and her very proud parents. She was absolutely perfect during her session. And I hope she grows to treasure these photographs. Welcome home baby Kensington!

“I can’t wait to start our lives together. I look forward to starting a family and growing old.”

On Bryan and Amanda’s wedding day, Bryan wrote this message on the bottom of Amanda’s shoes for her to read as she got dressed. And as Amanda took each step down the aisle, this message was ever present serving as a sweet reminder that the wedding day is simply the beginning of all things to come. I can’t wait to see what happens next for this beautiful couple!

Emily and Adam had plans for a big wedding — lots of friends and family gathered at Emily’s grandmother’s house in early June enjoying a Carvel ice cream cake! But the opportunity to buy their dream house — a true log cabin — presented itself. Wanting to make that dream a reality, they chose to buy their house, and instead of a big wedding, they’ll elope. Emily and Adam, I wish you the best of luck as you make this house your home!
