Flag Ponds Nature Park — perhaps a new favorite place for photos! It was so petty and peaceful there. Emily is also a photographer and photographs birds. She and Philip have visited the park many times, patiently waiting for just the right bird at just the right moment. My camera was focused on these two while we were there, but the beauty of our surroundings and this sweet couple did not escape me. Check back this fall for wedding photos when Emily and Philip get married at a local farm!
I loved every aspect about Erin and Matt’s Belmont Farm wedding. The church ceremony, the farm reception, the burlap and lace, and every detail in between! But the best part about this day was working with this genuinely sweet couple who could not have been more excited to begin their lives together! Erin’s excitement leading up to the wedding day and her joy the day of were simply contagious. And I think that joy is certainly evident in the photos!
Many talented vendors came together to create Erin’s vision for this beautiful day including: reception venue, The Belmont Farm; ceremony, St. Michael’s Catholic Church; dress, Love Couture Bridal in Potomac Maryland; bridesmaid dresses, David’s Bridal; hair, Erica Settle and Amy Stanley of Platinum Hair Salon; make up, Natural Looks by Victoria; centerpiece flowers and vases, Weavers Cut Flowers; church flowers, Towne Hall Florist; bouquets, crocheted by the bride’s grandmother Jeannie Thomas; caterer: Rita B Catering; bartender, Katie York of “BYOB: Bring Your Own Bartender”; Cake, Jordan Walker from The Front Porch in Leonardtown; DJ, Invincible Entertainment; and photographer, Jill Christine Design & Photography.
When the temperatures dip below freezing and the wind is enough to create white caps on the river, you’re going to need to create your own warmth for your engagement session. Megan and Robert did just that and I loved their engagement session even if I couldn’t feel my toes or fingers by the time it was over!
Two more beautiful families are on the blog today as we revisit Christmas! The first of these sessions was taken at a local Christmas tree farm and the second was taken at Historic St. Mary’s.
