Laughter. The sweet, genuine sounds of just plain fun filled Sarah and Michael’s St. Mary’s City engagement session. Michael had a way of so easily bring out out Sarah’s smile, as if it’s what he’s meant to do. I can’t wait to see these two smiling again at their wedding this October!

It’s been said that rain on your wedding day is good luck. And while that may be true, rain during an outdoor ceremony really isn’t good for anyone. So I was a little nervous watching the storm clouds dance around Jessica and Ryan’s Flora Corner Farm wedding. But this truly lucky couple never saw a drop of rain during their time outside. Their day was all about family, good old fashioned fun and a beautiful farm setting.

Shannon and Benjamin’s wedding guests were treated to some beautiful water views at two the of the areas loveliest sites. Their day began at the historic St. Ignatius Church at Chapel Point, which overlooks Port Tobacco Creek and remains the oldest continuously serving Catholic Parish in the United States. Afterwards, they traveled to Woodlawn Farm in Ridge, where guests enjoyed the scenic, private grounds of the estate and views of Calvert Creek.
Spending the day at such beautiful locations surrounded by such a lovely couple and their friends and family didn’t feel like work at all! I was honored to have been a part of this wonderful day and work with not only Shannon and Ben, but also the following vendors: Woodlawn Farm, reception site; Serendipity Bridal & Events, dress; and Scarborough Farm, flowers. I met Caitlin and Jason at Mary’s Hope on Church Cove for a sunrise engagement session. I’m so thankful they allowed me to document this exciting time for them, and also that they agreed to get up early to catch the most beautiful light! This is a follow up post to the one last week where I shared images from a photo fundraiser my MOMS group participated in to benefit the March of Dimes.
These generous families, who also participated, coordinated outfits and showed up with smiles during what should have been getting ready for bed time at home. And as any mom can tell you, that’s no easy task! But I’m so thankful they did, and together we were able to make this fundraiser a success!
