It’s hard to believe that spring is almost over, but before it goes, let’s take another look at some lovely outdoor family sessions from the season!
A few days before the wedding, Mary posted a message on facebook to her guests that in a nutshell said, “we’re so excited you’re coming, please bring an umbrella.” She wasn’t about to let a little rain, or a lot as it turned out, change her wedding day plans. So on a very rainy day at the end of April, she and Scott huddled closely under an umbrella (a clear one I might note that was excellent planning on her part for photographs!) as they said their vows. I love that these two didn’t let Mother Nature ruin their day. And I can’t help but think that every time it rains, they’ll be reminded of the day they became husband and wife.
Many talented vendors contributed to this beautiful wedding including: Running Hare Vineyard, Maryland Country Catering, Maryland House of Bridal, Green and Blue Studio, Floral Expressions, Mollie’s Cake Kitchen, Suit Supply, Fringe Salon, La Plata and Jill Christine Design & Photography.
I belong to a wonderful group of local moms that supports various service projects. Eight generous families participated in a fundraiser recently to raise more than $240 that will benefit a local charity. Thank you to all of these moms and their families for not only supporting the club’s efforts, but also for serving as a wonderful support system for me and so many other moms in the area. You make our days at home a little easier and a little more fun! Here are just a few of the families from the fundraiser.
In the maid of honor’s toast, she described Christine and Tyler as having a unique sense of humor that happens to be contagious. Apparently, for the past five years they’ve been laughing, a lot! And those around them can’t help but join in too. I believe their laughter, along with love, will serve as a strong foundation for their marriage. To be able to laugh at ourselves and with one another is a wonderful trait to have. May they have many things to laugh about over the next 70 years!
Lots of talented vendors helped make this day a success including: St. John Vianney Church; Herrington on the Bay; Cakes by Rachael, cake and favors; Classically Modern Designs, flowers; Mindy Whalen, hair; and Behind the Veil, make up.
