The first time I photographed sweet Zoey, she was still in her momma’s belly! So I was very excited to meet her in person for this session. We met at Herrington on the Bay, which was such a lovely idea as it’s the same place where her mommy and daddy married a few years ago. I just love the vibrant colors, beautiful light, and adorable faces, of course, that we were able to incorporate. And I’m incredibly thankful that this family has allowed me to document these times in their lives and watch them grow. Watch the blog around Christmas time to see how much Zoey has grown!

They walked behind the bride’s childhood home and down the hill on the farm where so many memories had been shared.

They walked past the pond as the guests gathered on the other side.

They walked to the flower covered arbor, which the bride’s grandmother had nurtured for months leading to the wedding.

Side by side, they walked — the father who would give away his baby girl and the man who would marry his best friend.

It was poetic, and beautiful, and the kind of moment that brings on those happy tears! Kourtney and Billy, once high school sweethearts, are now Mr. & Mrs. Rabbitt! I  And I was honored to document this occasion for them. Here’s to their #hoppilyeveryafter!

Greenwell Foundation, located in St. Mary’s County within Greenwell State Park, is a beautiful venue for weddings. It’s home to lovely gardens, grassy fields, horses, a historic manor house and views of the Patuxent River!

And if that’s not enough, they’ve recently added a unique option to their wedding day packages — the Greenwell Porch Rentals. They’ve packed the porch to the manor house with decoration items ranging from vintage, to rustic, to fun and whimsical. A few weeks ago, I worked with several amazing vendors including Paul Kwak Productions, Woodlawn Farm, and Blushing Blooms Floral Design, to create an About Me video for my web site.

Jen and Justin were gracious enough to help as well. This couple is thoughtful, kind, and beautiful, I might add! But they’re also a wonderful example of marriage. And it just so happens that they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary this September, which made them the perfect choice for this little project. You’ll see more of these two and our sweet family we featured on the blog last week in the video coming soon! But for now, here are some of my favorite still shots. “Sugar and spice and everything nice. That’s what little girls are made of.”

More tea parties, hair bows and baby dolls are on the horizon for this family. Big sister Lily will soon have a little sister to share in her childhood adventures. And although the balance in the house will tip even more toward the side of the girls, something tells me this Daddy won’t mind being surrounded by so many beautiful ladies!
