Meeting at Dupont Circle became such a part of their routine that at some point in their relationship, it became unnecessary to even make a formal meeting plan or mention a location. They both knew exactly where to go and when. It was only fitting then that we begin Mary and Scott’s engagement session there. Here are a few of my favorites of this sweet couple. It may have been a little colder and a little damper than expected, but as Amanda and Robert said their vows, they hardly seemed to notice the rain coming down around them. That was partly thanks to Robert’s brother who held an umbrella over them during the ceremony, but nonetheless, the weather did not dampen the beautiful celebration alongside the Chesapeake Bay.

Many talented vendors contributed to this day including: Elite Beatz Entertainment, Royal Memories Photo Booth, Buerhaus Design Video, Michael Designs Florist, Sweet Hearts Patisserie, Maryland Wedding Ceremonies and Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.

Christina and Iain married at Historic St. Mary’s surrounded by their closest friends and family from all parts of the world. The furthest of these guests traveled all the way from Africa to join them! Each brought with them a tremendous amount of love and support for this couple, which was impossible not to feel.

In addition to that, these guests came ready to have a little fun as well! The reception included some serenading of the bride and groom by the guests, a little bride and groom trivia and some Scottish dancing (a tribute to Iain’s heritage and former home). Their day, while beautiful in its own right for all of the lovely details and personal touches, was made most beautiful by the people who came to celebrate with them.

It may be December, but the blog is traveling back to the warmer days of September to share Mike and Erin’s brunch time wedding. The country charm and natural elegance of Swan Point Yacht & Country Club served as a beautiful backdrop for this beautiful couple’s wedding. Their day included mini pancakes, an omlette and waffle station, a live band, a fun crowd of guests and lots of joyful tears!

There’s never a shortage of laughter or smiles when I’m around this next family. And laughter and smiles, as you may know, are contagious! I was honored to photograph Tricia and Sean’s wedding this past April and equally as happy to take their photos again this fall. And we had so much fun, that we decided to do two fall sessions 🙂 I hope these pictures bring a smile to your day!
